Dear friends, the best way to help Ukraine is to contribute here https://t.co/EqK0FYKX2R. We have already raised over £100,000. I am overwhelmed with your kindness and generosity. As there are no flights I’ll bring medical supplies for Ukrainian hospitals by car.
@sophiebiddulph Eventually, however hard it might be, I'm sure that you'll find that special someone, worth your time and company, who genuinely values them as much as you do and, in the meantime, I hope that you'll be thriving on your own. 🤞💃
@sophiebiddulph ... Well, the kindness and empathy of your response is why, in a nutshell, I find those dating experiences so infuriating and heartbreaking to read about. 😥 Those human qualities deserve some basic respect, if not to be cherished, instead of being taken advantage of. 👎
We've wasted five years in this country, and will waste many more, on Brexit, whose sole purpose was to resolve an internal dispute in the Conservative Party.
Years we could have spent addressing our real, existential crisis, the threat to the living systems that keep us alive.
@ernestopriego ... Well said. 👏 Having spent a considerable part of the ongoing pandemic abroad, I'm baffled by the nonchalant, selfish even, attitude which has developed in the UK (or, at least, England) towards this issue, only requiring relatively minimal sacrifices from all. 🤷♂️🦠🇬🇧
A little scene I witnessed as we were dropping our son off at uni yesterday, a young lad saying goodbye to his dad. They hugged and the boy said “I love you” and the man replied “I love you too” and I’m very much here for this kind of healthy masculinity.
@guinness_emma Thank you, once again, for sharing such a personal account of how this diabolical condition has been affecting you, showing strength and breaking away from the "a bit OCD" stereotype. 👏❤️ I, truly, hope that you're coping better with those horrific obsessive thoughts, lately. 😌
@AlsJane_therapy Hopefully, the nervousness will fade as the day goes on but, should you need any guidance, assistance or even just comfort, don't hesitate to ask for them, either in person or through Twitter. 🤞🚆
@AlsJane_therapy I've had to look the meaning of that lanyard up, but if to be exempted from wearing a face mask on public transport, I've seen plenty of people not doing so without being questioned about it, while for all else Londoners, such as myself, are mostly understanding and helpful. 😌🌻
@sophiebiddulph ... I believe that, without making excuses for this charming individual, the toxicity of "lad culture" has much to answer for, once again, here. 👎🍺
@sophiebiddulph Bleurgh. 🥴 Don't be too hard on yourself either as, regardless, it takes time to get to know people properly and I suspect that, in this instance, his behaviour is likely worsened by the presence of his mates and colleagues, whom he feels the need to impress. 😩
@cupofwonderland @pigletish Same here. 🤞 I'd just make it clear, if asked at border control, that you don't intend to look for work, but that you're only visiting relatives, in the country. 😌🇫🇮
