I've long argued Sarah Longwell's pod, The Focus Group, is the best thing you can listen to if you want to understand how *actual voters* think. She talks to them! You hear them! Needless to say, I'm preordering a copy of her book. You should too! https://t.co/Wfz4qfZaKb
Trump's henchmen put a blind man, illegally detained, out in the cold miles away from his home ,telling no one.
He died cold confused and alone.
They murdered Nurul Amin Shah Alam.
To the criminals hiding as masked members of ICE and the Border Patrol ,you are not immune.
You are all liable criminally and civilly for the assaults you are committing.
You'll be unmasked long before the statutes run on your offenses.
Save your signing bonus for legal counsel.
If you're sadists ,as I suspect, enjoy yourselves now. Soon your fun times end.
Trump is a murderer.
Great job @HawleyMO & @SenWarren LOVE THIS.
Anyone in Congress that doesn’t support this, doesn’t want lower cost healthcare for Americans.
This is a no brainer. Let’s hope @POTUS puts his weight behind this
The Constitution that framed our government was truly a marvel of the philosophy of the nature of humans and practical politics.
The authors were a group of genius thinkers we've never seen since.
A fledgling nation balanced on a razor wire of structure and counter weights was the result.
By no means perfect but flexible enough to anticipate the Hobbesian survivors of the nasty, brutish and short life.
My opinion they just could not have anticipated the obscene wealth in play today.
"Wealth" is not expansive enough to describe what democracy faces today.
The gold has risen to the top and found greed ,mouth wide open.
Those mouths are now in the Whitehouse, Congress and our Supreme Court.
They are all hungry and immoral.
So what do we have to left?
Sounds trite but we are still the sovereign.
We have us.
Protest endlessly.
Speak out endlessly.

"I think in a free country we should be able to post onto the internet, 'hey, there are masked agents on Broadway and Vine and not have the government or the tech oligarchs prevent us from doing that.' Shame on you, Tim Cook."
@RadioFreeTom joins @Timodc on The Bulwark Podcast:
The (UK) Telegraph on Trump's visit: "There were the marching bands with their flawless precision and the procession of ceremonial carriages whose windows are designed to allow a view of their esteemed occupants waving to jubilant crowds. But there was no waving because there were no crowds. Downing Street seems to have pulled off a remarkable operation in persuading Trump that having his second 'state visit' held at Windsor Castle behind virtual locked doors rather than the traditional triumphal procession down the Mall to Buckingham Palace was a great compliment. Windsor was, Trump told the media repeatedly, by far the superior venue and he alone in history had been so favoured. No one in his entourage, apparently, thought it odd that the legendary carriages which transported him in circles around the castle grounds were going from nowhere to nowhere. But whoever in Westminster conceived and orchestrated this extraordinary grovel knew exactly what they were doing. The most powerful man in the world was given not just the greatest day out ever, but the personal affection and approval which he requires in apparently limitless amounts."
My grandfather survived Auschwitz, worked his ass off to get a PhD in physics despite 5 years of slave labor w no schooling, and came to the US to build the camera for the Apollo missions. But I guess you don't want ppl like that in our country anymore you ungrateful jackass
Think of it. Elon Musk is the richest man who ever lived. A free, proud, independent country needs assistance to survive an onslaught against it. To continue to exist. That country is a U.S. ally, too. And Musk just shits on them. He is an idol of my old party, the GOP. Tragic.
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump held dueling rallies in North Carolina on Wednesday, but the Democratic nominee's venue had a significantly larger space for attendees. @Newsweek

Covering Harris’s "closing argument" speech tonight in DC, I was really struck by how fully her campaign has taken back the patriotic aesthetics and rhetoric once associated with the GOP—while Trump's descriptions of America have become darker and more dystopian.
I forget, how does democracy die again?
