@CheekyLarsh @adopteecrossing @adopteelaw@AdopteesUnited I don't "choose" my history. I live it and speak truth to it, so I'm blown away by your strange motivation to comment so dismissively about it and to use the tired "I have a friend who's adopted" trope to question my own experience.
@repmattdean@Nokomis_Dad Because it's irrelevant and unnecessary, though I'm sure you already know that. Why not amend the Minnesota Human Right law to add this provision then: "'Familial status' does not include a parent’s physical or sexual exploitation of a child."
Korean court awards Adam Crapser nearly $75,000 in damages against Holt Children’s Service, the Korean agency that was responsible for his adoption, but dismisses case against the South Korean government. https://t.co/PrRXiKRBDd
Here's where we are with helping out. Not far to go. Thanks, everyone, who has contributed, from $10 to $500! It makes me think we need to establish a formal and equitable mutual aid process. Deets/donate: https://t.co/X3wbASw4No
Thank you, Sen. @ErinMayeQuade and Minnesota legislators. Five years ago my son walked out of Washburn HS and made the trip St. Paul, where he and other students staged a die-in on the Capitol floor, demanding action. Action is now reality. 🙌🏽 🙏🏽
Just five years ago, I had to sit-in on the floor of the State House to protest Republican inaction on gun violence. Today, WE got to take the action. These bills will save lives. Minnesotans have been organizing and demanding for these bills for years
I can’t remember the last time I’ve been able to sit down by myself and enjoy a plate of delicious. If you are ever at or near 46th and Nicollet in Minneapolis, go to @sunstreetbreads
Please, oh please, can we just figure out public financing of campaigns? The texts and emails are frickin’ relentless. No, you’re not tied in the polls. You are losing big time.
i've been reporting on immigration and int'l adoption policy for years. and guess what?

So thrilled to be a guest on @gregoryluce #Adoptee Rights Podcast! This is the first time I’ve spoken publicly about how my ethos as a climate activist and research as a biologist is informed by my identity as an adoptee.

Growing up, the Boggy Creek Monster was the legendary monster that we were afraid of. It didn't help that we had a creek in our backyard.
Was there a regional monster where you grew up?
