Update: received a reponse from the @AFL ‘Membership Team’ to my email: ‘UPDATE: All seated tickets to the AFL Reserve for Collingwood v Geelong in Round 1 of the finals, have sold out.’ And this beauty: ‘Reserved Seating Rounds 15-19 is currently available’. Cheers for that.

@Ben_Broad Yes, the rule does not allow for a straight arm fend to hold space. Probably a result of the advantage it would give to one side when the bounce doesn’t go straight. Another way of ‘evening up’ the ruck contest.
