How to deal with a journalist: a short 🧵
We are "on the record" by default. If you don't want any of what you say to end up in a story, or conveyed to other people, tell them "off the record" from the start.
This is simply masterful writing👇
Read it if you want to learn the true story
Thank you so much, @anish_koka.
I know you're a fantastic cardiologist- and your patients need you- but, let's be honest: The mainstream media could really use the full time help of a writer like you.
I was an intern at @CBSNews when Pelley would fill in for Katie Couric on the evening news. I watched in the control room one day as he directed them to slowly push the shot in on him as he took his glasses off. It was so fake I’ve remembered it for 15 years.
"Trump’s signature pro-life victory in appointing justices who voted to overturn Roe has been overwhelmed by a separate policy he’s done nothing to resist. And many pro-life activists have moved from gratitude to impatience, or even outright anger." https://t.co/19t4UvbQPG
🚨A violent transgender pedophile was arrested in Hawley, Minnesota, on June 1 after being found in possession of firearms and threatening to murder police officers and their families.
Daniel Patrick Benz, also known as Danielle Marie Whitebird, has a long history of violent crime, including the sexual abuse of a child.
He was previously held in a women's prison where he was accused of sexually harassing female inmates, but was released in 2024.
Local news described Benz as a "woman" in reports on his recent arrest.
Reminder that Scott Pelley called himself a "legend" after his firing. He'll have trouble getting that massive head through the narrow gate of salvation. https://t.co/Kd6onmDSb1
This letter from 60 Minutes’ new EP, Nick Bilton, is so telling and transparent.
It’ll be hilarious to listen to anyone defend Pelley after reading this. And when they do, they will do so dishonestly.
Letter from Bilton to Pelley below.
One of Scott Pelley’s most infamous moments came when he attacked President Trump for defunding Peter Daszak, claiming Trump was standing in the way of a cure for Covid, when in truth Daszak helped create it in the first place. It was a total inversion of reality. Good riddance.
Following the publication of the important article by Kathleen McDeavitt and J. Cohn on the Dutch Protocol's failure to produce reliable evidence, a member of the Dutch parliament has submitted 17 questions to the Dutch health minister.
See 👇for article.
Less than a month before publishing a rule that required foster parents to be LGBTQ+ affirming, insisting it was the best way to protect children’s mental health, Biden officials were scrambling to find data to support one its central claims.
@LawrenceGostin failed to utter the smallest peep when licensing boards went after physicians for spreading what they deemed "COVID misinformation."
But now he's all "human rights" concerned.
This kind of blatant hypocrisy is why trust in public institutions has plummeted. People see the political game.
A reminder that Alfonsi was reporter on a 13-minute 60 Minutes feature this year that opened w a German police raid on a man’s apartment for posting a cartoon they didn’t like. There were no critical questions for the German speech police and zero pro-speech figures interviewed.
I agree with a limited grandfather clause- it there has been surgical removal of gonads then sex hormones are necessary- and limited case reports of Detransitioners have made clear that the specific sex hormone should be patient led.
But I do not agree with blanket grandfather clauses- the long term risk profile is too great.
Every day a woman stays on exogenous testosterone is another day of destruction of her bladder, urethra, vagina.
🙏Nice to have our vaccine report recognized by @POTUS
Less nice to have just been fired as head of CDER @ FDA & not know why or who fired me
But I valued my time @ FDA & am proud of our work
I discuss that & the importance of accountability here

On Friday, Trump recommitted to a review of the childhood vaccination schedule despite legal setbacks. This is huge news, and a reversal of administration’s recent strategy of moving away from MAHA policies that the corporate media doesn’t like.
I’ve spent two weeks pressing the admin on why Tracy Beth Hoeg, an author of the original policy, was fired. I’ve also been asking why White House officials said that Trump’s pollster found it’s a political loser, when a source leaked me more detailed polling showing that’s not the case.
In the end, the administration recommitted to taking a big swing despite the risk of bad corporate media headlines.
The main stream news is failing to do their job, so here is the bigger picture on this story out of NH. The man pretending to be a woman hanging out in women and children's private spaces is Christopher Beaulieu. He was previously convicted of felonious sexual assault (victim was a minor). So the thing they say never happens is absolutely happening. He also hangs out at Chuck E Cheese in Manchester.
Judy Walcott was getting ready to use the bathroom in the women’s locker room at the Concord Planet Fitness when she saw Christopher hanging up belongings outside a shower.
Understandably she was very uncomfortable and scared (I know this feeling because men use our restrooms in the State House too), so she went to the front desk and reported it. The employees ignored it. A few days later, she reported it to another employee who called her “transphobic” and told her to quit if she didn’t like it. A few hours later, the assistant manager called her and canceled the membership. They forged her signature on the cancelation too. This smells like a lawsuit waiting to happen. So a woman was punished for being frightened in her private space, and the man is still hanging out freely in there. @KellyAyotte help!
