A heartfelt thank you to the 296 brilliant students who have interned with us, and to our fantastic tutors.
The post-2022 no body, no parole laws put wrongfully convicted prisoners in an impossible bind; being unable to cooperate to locate a body, they are forced to spend several more years in prison despite posing little risk to the community.
Today we presented our open letter to the NSW Attorney General calling for a reform of NSW 'no body, no parole laws' and signed by lawyers, legal academics and the wrongfully convicted, including Kathleen Folbigg and Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton.

“A prosecutor’s obligation to disclose exculpatory material is just that — an obligation, not a decision,”
- Justice Frank M. Gaziano; Supreme Judicial Court of Mass.
The FBI investigated a corrupt Springfield Police narcotics unit - and subsequently found the Hampden County District Attorney was not making the required Brady disclosures. The FBI found 23 instances.
Turns out...the DA had not been making any disclosures and now calls over 8,000 cases as 'up for review'.
This decision by the SJC is not the first of its kind. Law enforcement in Mass. has been hiding misconduct for decades, and the DAs have never made full disclosures.
Brady has remedies baked in. This is a judge problem for not holding DAs accountable when they do not hold LEOs accountable.
We will not forget.
We do not forgive.

What’s most pernicious about scientific fraud is that, while it’s relatively rare in absolute terms, every bad act empowers the know-nothings of the world to dismiss the work of thousands of honest scientists.
