@jerbenn@Okie_Rancher Yeah I was sitting in the departing lounge in the Haitian airport in Porta Prince and this big dude carrying a AR comes out calling my name. It was a major butt pucker moment for sure. It turned out that they couldn't unlock my TSA lock I had on a tool box I was flying with.
@jerbenn@Okie_Rancher Thats what checked luggage is for. I carried one to Haiti in my checked luggage. I didn't think I could get my 9mm into a foriegn country.
@RifleAz@MichaelARothman@nicksortor The real problem is youre looking at this as a right the government gives us. These rights are endowed on us by our creator and the government cannot regulate them. The 2nd is only a tricky one because it can enforce all the other rights against a tyrannical government
@RifleAz@MichaelARothman@nicksortor There were no gun laws about CC when new states were added. Individual towns enacted gun laws to try and curb violence and it was an overreach that should have never been allowed to happen. Criminals were given their guns back as soon as they left prison up until recent times.
@RifleAz@MichaelARothman@nicksortor How many laws have been confirmed constitutional that actually weren't? There is a huge laundry list of them that have been overturned. Let's start with 2 big ones. Abortion and slavery. SCOTUS doesn't always get it right. Im a originalist. We have diluted the constitution.
@RifleAz@MichaelARothman@nicksortor The constitution supersedes any state law about firearms. It always has. The original states were the ones that asked for the 2nd to be in there before they would sign off on it. You need to read a little history.
