@MikeTCT@TheBabylonBee Question - haven’t lived in an apartment in many years. Do you get to write off rent payments on your taxes like you can with mortgage interest. On a quick search online it says no. So this should be weighed into your assessment as a benefit
@Rob_SFM32@TheBabylonBee You are making a straw man arguement by adding in higher interest rates. That’s where I would hope someone has the intelligence or advisor telling them this before locking into a mortgage just for the sake of getting a home.
@Hunt3r4life@TheBabylonBee This is where I believe the media does a disservice. They all want to use the example of a $450k home and with a 50year mortgage it will cost $1.4M but in actuality many never make it this far. They cash out earlier
@WallStreetApes I am not denying peoples struggle. I thought a good experiment, seeing that she went back 25 years, was to go back 25 years from 2000 and see 1975 rents. The AI result is telling me the avg rent was $200-300 so it essentially doubled/tripled in that 25 year period as well.
@theallinpod@andrewschulz Good discussions on the episode. Liked how all talked about their successes but also challenges in getting to their current places in life.
@joeyjaws Should do a live stream at the exact same time as the Nathan’s event with @BarstoolBigCat and @PardonMyTake bet you would draw bigger than the beer Olympics
