As temperatures drop this week, we encourage you to be safe with your home heating. As a reminder, please check your CO monitors batteries for proper working order.
Due to high temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds, a 🚩RED FLAG WARNING 🚩is in affect Friday and Saturday. These conditions can cause rapid fire spread. A burn ban is still in effect in Multnomah County.

Early this morning crews responded to Highway 26 and Stone Rd., for a traffic collision between a pickup and a tanker truck. Two patients were transported. Multiple agencies were on scene to assist along with law enforcement and ODOT. The Hwy. remains closed for cleanup.

@Mcauch0507 We appreciate the heroic efforts of bystanders that day. Multiple agencies were dispatched on the incident, water boats did respond and that information is what was relayed to media in the midst of the emergency. @fox12oregon covered the rescue efforts by bystanders.
Gresham Fire responded to a water rescue incident for the second day in a row at Oxbow Park. 3 patients were transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Many times someone drowns when they try to retrieve something drifting away. The best thing to do is to let it go. If you must retrieve it, please wear a life jacket because things can drift farther and faster than you may think and it’s not worth losing your life over.

Today Gresham Fire welcomed 12 new firefighters to the organization!
The recruits have spent the last 3 months in training. They officially will be out in the community Sunday July 3.
