Occasional observation on the joys (and irritations) of life. Not left, right or centre. Just human.
Don't be defined by what you hate, but by what you love.
In 2016, within days of the start of the #EUref campaign, it was clear the UK had a simple choice:
Stand with the racists and xenophobes or stand against them.
We chose poorly.
Once again, we failed to learn from history and it will judge us harshly.
German Green MEP @TerryReintke: "I'm going to say this very clearly once again - we want colleagues from the UK to be re-elected into the European Parliament, into the chamber, as soon as possible!"

There has been superb coverage today on @FRANCE24 of the thousands taking part in todays #MarchForRejoin in London. They have put @BBCNews to absolute shame & even ask in this report where the other broadcasters are!
There are many of us who cannot be at the #MarchForRejoin today due to caring commitments, financial constraints or sickness & disability etc, but we are absolutely with the wonderful marchers in spirit.
#Brexit has decimated our country, it is inevitable that we will #Rejoin.
The #MarchforRejoin the EU stretches as far as I can see in both directions. It will be ignored by @BBCBreaking and @BBCPolitics who jumped when the narcissist Farage and a few mates complained about their bank accounts.
"In Germany, farmers used the exact same tactic, blocking roads with their tractors to protest a renewable energy policy...Not a single farmer was punched in the face or dragged off the road by their hair"

This week in Brexitland, I look at why Keir Starmer will get very little from the EU if he tries to “Make Brexit Work” and get a better deal. But what he’s doing should still scare the hell of out the Tories. Here’s why:
National Rejoin March II

* There's a WAY bigger buzz on social media
* We've already had good media coverage

Boris Johnson’s loan guarantor was nominated to run the British Council. Richard Sharp, a friend of Johnson who helped facilitate the arrangement, was appointed chair of the BBC by the loan beneficiary, Boris Johnson. The Tories in Government. https://t.co/A6kk5Tetut
Heaven help us! The Prime Minister just posted a completely insane thread telling us what a great job he’s doing bringing down inflation & hospital waiting lists! HOSPITAL WAITING LISTS!!
Jeez! Even Larry the cat must be packing his bags in disgust!
Watch in utter disbelief!
The ECHR was designed to stop Concentration Camps and mass deportation, after the Holocaust.
It‘s not ironic, but downright sinister that these are the reasons why Conservatives want to get rid of it.
More than half a million people were sanctioned last year after breaching conditions of their benefits claims, yet when the Prime Minister breaks Parliament's own conduct rules it is dismissed as an 'inadvertent' breach and he's let off scot free

The Telegraph spills the beans...
"Britain paying up to eight times more than EU for road and rail projects, research finds"
No wonder we can never have nice things.
