Britain’s voting system is broken. 70 MPs are backing an amendment to finally review it.
But to make an impact, we need many more. I’ve urged my MP to support it with this tool. Can you contact yours too? https://t.co/SMKpIx5QCF
Did you know that millions of donkeys are being slaughtered so their gelatin can be used in cosmetic products? Did you ALSO know that @amazon is making a killing out of this cruel business? https://t.co/yeQHhap6Xv
Did you know that MPs earning money from second jobs spoke and voted less than other MPs in parliament last year? Agree this is wrong? Join me and sign the petition to ban MPs from taking paid media jobs: https://t.co/qutTPvpjpL
Civil War is trending, but I'm pretty certain 95% of people are already sick of these Thugs smashing up our town centres.
Like if you are sick of them.
RT if you are REALLY sick of them.
They partied , they bet on elections , they crashed the economy, they broke every public service, they destroyed integrity and honesty in public office , they paid their mates billions , they put their friends in the House of Lords, they gave their cronies knighthoods, they went into the jungle , they lied again and again, they were convicted by police, they went on holiday when they shouldn’t and they have the cheek to question Keir Starmer’s work ethic. I would never take anything for granted but I hope they are annihilated on Thursday. The worst people and government we have ever had!
P.S good afternoon all 😊❤️
JUST BEEN LEAKED NOTE BY HEAD OF TORY CAMPAIGN (the one standing in for the one on leave of absence courtesy of William Hill) MEMO ALL CANDIDATES … THE REALITY. 1. We cannot campaign on our record because nothing has improved since we took office. 2. The biggest change we made last Parliament was Brexit and we can’t campaign on that because the people who hated it hate it more and the people who liked it know we have ballsed it up. 3. We can’t campaign on our leaders because we have had five in eight years which suggests none of them were very good. 4. We can’t campaign on Labour being a risk to security and the economy because nobody can do worse than we have and anyway people seem to think @Keir_Starmer is pretty decent and he is for sure not Corbyn. 5. So LADS, all we have left is this … behave like we have lost, it’s all over bar the shouting, towel thrown in, and hope to God millions of people don’t bother to vote us out because they think somebody else will do it. I know it’s desperate and a bit anti-democratic but needs must. We’re shit and we know we are and so this is it!!! Fuck everything up. Crash the car. Make ourselves look even more unelectable and useless at campaigns. Willie Whitelaw used to talk about travelling the country stirring up apathy. That is all we have left. Do it. Talk up supermajority. I know it is meaningless but it is the only way to stop the superdefeat we all know we deserve. Cheers. Btw we’re having Sunday drinks 1pm. BYOB 🍾 🥂 ps new slogan. STAY AT HOME. DON’T VOTE. KEEP THE TORIES haha!!
Nigel Farage has called the RNLI a taxi service for illegal immigrants, Ben Habib said the RNLI should be prosecuted for people trafficking.
If you stand with the RNLI against these hate mongering b*stards.

Good news for @JacobReesMogg7. @UKLabour and @LibDems are fiercely contesting his #NESH seat, will likely split the vote as they did last time and wave him back in. The most underhand tactic so far is @LibDems@DineRomero4NESH distributing leaflets claiming @UKLabour @votedannorris have “given up in North East Somerset and Hanham” because the constituency is on the official list of places Labour say they can’t win. In fact, it became one of their 250 winnable Battleground Seats when @votedannorris was selected. And all the tactical voting sites I’ve seen say he is the candidate to vote for. Lies and lack of cooperation is what loses elections. Unless opposition parties get their act together, @JacobReesMogg7 and others will be laughing their way back into Parliament. Don’t say I didn’t warn you again. Please RT https://t.co/Phvdv9AOQ6
“This is the ONLY Parliament in modern history where you have seen living standards fall”
This is a fact Rishi Sunak would NOT want YOU to retweet.

The overriding function of government is the same as for healthcare. To do the most good for the least harm at an affordable cost. However, if your government does far more harm than good at great cost, it’s impossible for any healthcare system to pick up the pieces.
It's puzzling that people blame "the NHS" for the state it's in. It's not a religion, simply a mechanism for paying for universal care (tax funded, free at the point of need, largely publicly provided). The main reasons it can't cope with demand, in no particular order are...
1. Alarming levels of child poverty, health inequality and unhealthy ageing.
2. Pointless, costly and harmful political redisorganisations and outsourcings.
3. Reluctance of politicians to pay for and secure safe staffing levels and infrastructure
4. Insufficient focus on prevention, primary care, social care and education
5. Inability of those in authority to tell the truth, particularly when things go wrong
6. Lack of accountability for those who cover up the truth, suppress whistleblowers and kick obvious scandals into the long grass.
7. Treating the staff so poorly that want to leave, or do leave, to seek a less stressful, better paid job.
This has got nothing to do with the NHS as a funding system, but the political and voter choices that have allowed it to be underfunded - and hence unsafe - for so long. It's rare in life you get "more for less". In healthcare, we usually get "less for less". We are currently not providing prompt universal healthcare but rationing it so severely that people are suffering and dying for want of health, dental and social care. Myriad public inquiries have recommended rebuilding the NHS around safety and quality, but until we address these issues we are just pissing in the wind...
This doesn't sound much like comedy, but I will try to add a few gags in before the Edinburgh fringe...
