"I really enjoyed the discussion alongside both the panel and PhD candidates in the audience. Thanks to Careers and Employability, University of Wollongong for the opportunity!”
– Brendan Banfield (@bjbanfield), Gridsight Co-Founder and CEO
"It was a pleasure to join the UOW-hosted panel ‘𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀’ to share some insights I have learned transitioning from a PhD to founding Gridsight."
We’ll have several opportunities open up in the coming weeks and months for new keen and motivated members of the team to jump aboard! 👋
Thanks to the Gridsight team for an epic week!
Super fun and productive week in Byron Bay welcoming new starters and nailing our strategy to enable the grid's adoption of renewable energy and decarbonisation goals. ☀️🍃
#TeamCulture#Collaboration#Decarbonisation
The team's growth reflects our commitment to these future-focussed challenges and we’re excited to see how much potential we can fulfill in the 12 months ahead. 🚀
Gridsight welcomes aboard two extremely talented and devoted heroines! 🦸♀️ Tara Sutjarittham and Eezu Tan couldn’t comprise a better duo to expand our ranks as Senior Data Scientist & Engineer, and Community & Strategic Projects Lead, respectively. 🚀
Since joining, Eezu has been uniting our community and driving home the impact Gridsight creates. Outside Gridsight, you’ll find Eezu running her grassroots climate action community and watching theatre.
🌍 Eezu, a climate action powerhouse, comes from product management at NatureTech startup Cecil. Her passion for rallying teams around leveraging data for climate outcomes is just what we need.
🌟 Before Gridsight, Tara deep dove into big data and perfected her craft as a real-time data analytics guru. She’s already sharpened the cutting edge of our DOE’s and discovered new ways to optimise critical ML models.
Two more absolute legends join the team! Lachlan Moodie and Katya Feffer were our first choices for a Software & Data Engineer, and a Customer Success & Data Engineer, respectively. 🚀
Within 3 months of joining, she’s smashed app onboardings, kicked major customer success goals and hoisted vibes into top gear. Outside work, you’ll find her hiking and exploring trails of Tasmania’s beautiful beaches and mountains.
🧗♀️ Katya brings a wealth of experience in data engineering and complex systems, having honed her skills working at Optus and the NSW Treasury. She's really excited to be expanding her data engineering with Gridsight, whilst striking the perfect balance with customer excellence.
Within 3 months of onboarding, he’s enhanced our solar PV performance algorithms, revamped DER validation and nailed numerous UX uplifts. Beyond the office, he loves floating down the creek on inflatable mattresses and savouring delicious local pizza straight from the farm gate.
🚣♂️ Lachlan cut his teeth on electrical engineering in the mining industry; project managing all things electrical including HV asset maintenance and communications networks, before moving into PLC programming and web app development.
In only 6 months, this has led to:
1. 531 transformers identified for relocation to alleviate supply shortage pains.
2. 99% of transformers operating within ± 5% voltage compliance limits.
3. Improved accuracy of solar PV records by 33%.
CJ Myers and Kunal Bhatt packed a room at @NRECANews's #TechAdvantage24, presenting on how Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC) uses Gridsight to simplify network management using AMI analytics. 🚀
DEC are using Gridsight to manage voltage constraints, transformer shortages and increased distributed energy resources.
We are excited to continue pushing boundaries with CJ and the team at DEC.
