This is the story of Mr Stringer ❤️‍🩹.

But from the very first day, he looked at me with that radiant smile, as if he wanted to say, "It doesn't matter, Sybille.
It doesn't matter if I can walk or not. I'm happy."

Mr. Stringer did it. With lots of training, patience, and physiotherapy, he learned to walk again. He will always have his little spinal gait, those wobbly steps with his hind legs. Some days are better than others.

But none of that really matters.

Mr. Stringer is loved.
Mr. Stringer is happy.

Marmalade was brought to the shelter on March 31 after a family found her wandering the streets. They kept her for a couple of weeks, hoping they would be able to find her owner, but nobody ever came forward. Since they couldn’t keep her, they brought her to the shelter.
They said Marmalade got along wonderfully with their children and with other dogs.
Ever since that day, Marmalade has sat in her kennel day after day, week after week, month after month. She has watched countless dogs leave the shelter. Puppies, other breeds, dogs that arrived long after she did. Yet nobody has ever asked about her.
And that is hard to understand, because Marmalade is one of the sweetest and happiest dogs at the shelter.
She stays quiet in her kennel. Most of the time, she simply stands at her door and watches people walk by, almost as if she is praying that one of them will stop and finally notice her.
But nobody ever does.
Today, Marmalade is telling her story, and I truly believe that somewhere out there is the person who will watch this video and realize that Marmalade is the dog they have been looking for all along.
If you live in another state, please reach out. We can help arrange transportation.
Please don’t let Marmalade spend another day at the shelter. She is already on the urgent list, and she is running out of time. I don’t know how much longer she has. It could be tomorrow. It could be a few more days. The truth is, nobody knows.

URGENT: Two starving dogs missing after being reloaded into suspect's truck - someone knows something

Jefferson County, Alabama – A witness says he caught a man attempting to abandon two severely emaciated dogs in the Mount Olive/Gardendale area. According to accounts shared on social media, the witness confronted the man, photographed him and his vehicle, and called law enforcement. The witness reportedly made the man reload the dogs into his truck before he drove away. As a result, the current whereabouts of the dogs are unknown.

The photos and information were later shared by Clifford Higginbotham who posted them on Facebook to help identify the man. Higginbotham later clarified that neither he nor his daughter witnessed the incident firsthand; they were simply helping spread the information after it was sent to them by the witness.

If you have any information about the identity of the man or the location of the dogs, please contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
