This morning reminded me why I love this work. Every so often, you meet a young Kenyan whose vision makes you pause and think, “Hapa kuna nguvu ya mabadiliko.” A blueprint not just for a village, but for a future.

Today I hosted Mr. Griffin Amudavi, a brilliant youth leader from Tiriki, Vihiga County, who shared an integrated plan linking cultural pride, youth empowerment, and a clean, inclusive economy.

His proposal reimagines the Tiriki Cultural Centre as a living classroom, protects indigenous knowledge through a Cultural Council, and anchors tourism in our shared identity.

Through Rafiki-Belleza, he envisions green innovation hubs in Nairobi and Vihiga, turning waste into opportunity and creating dignified jobs for young people.

And with Amuse Kenya, he places children at the heart of community development, nurturing confident, resilient leaders. What moved me most is his belief that culture, youth potential, and climate action are one ecosystem.

Young people like Mr. Amudavi remind us that Kenya’s future is rich with possibility, and their courage to dream boldly is already shaping the story of tomorrow.
