@PeterNunn3 I had a green 1300 5-speed sedan which I remember driving down to Goodwood back in the day, very characterful but short gearing. Swapped it for a 2000 GTV that needed work.
@ListerLawrence Had a 7-seater L-plate E280 estate up to 140,000 miles and loved it. Excellent interior space and quality. Like steering a ship. Finally succumbed to common head gasket failure and engine loom double-whammy.
@TheBishF1@lxznr Filmed him at Goodwood FoS, his interview in front of an audience was insightful and humorous. At the end he waved a dad and young son of about 10 over & spent several minutes talking with the boy about what he liked about motor racing in a lovely friendly way. Total hero.
@MikeyCycling On a ride, I found an unconscious cyclist in a ditch. A driver also stopped, we tried to rouse him and he moved a little. Eventually, in a very small voice he said βdiabeticβ. I found Dextrosols in his bag - with two under his tongue he revived after 10 mins and was so grateful.
@PCorfe@CB_cycles@RideLondon I rode it last year, Peter, and had no problems. I felt it was worth doing for the experience of riding closed roads. No real hills but plenty of drafting fun and high average speed. Met several teammates by chance.
