🇺🇸Karmelo Anthony, the 19-year-old accused of fatally stabbing 17-year-old football player Austin Metcalf at a Texas high school track meet, is currently free on a reduced $250,000 bail and living under house arrest while awaiting trial.

Anthony faces first-degree murder charges over the April 2025 killing in Frisco, where prosecutors say he stabbed Metcalf in the chest during an argument over seating under a team tent. Metcalf died in his twin brother’s arms.

The case exploded nationally after Anthony’s family raised more than $600,000 in online donations, with a family spokesman previously linking the fundraising to “the fight against white supremacy.”

Anthony claims self-defense. Jury selection has started.
