@andrew_wiebe Your thoughts on the Anunga play! It’s a CLEAR red however why were we given the DFK restart? It was confusing during and even more confusing after the pool questions. Never gave advantage but somehow we got the ball? Even with advantage should’ve been a DFK for Charlotte.

@mwprentiss @CarterChapley While I agree, do you really think if they had to talk to the reporters they would say anything differently? Maybe it would allow for followup questions? In this case, “If no advantage was given then why was a DFK not awarded to Charlotte?

It’s one of those things we’ll never get to hear but I wish we had more access to the conversations on the headsets between officials. At least I get could their POV.

If he calls either foul by Zaha (On Yedlin and Anunga) neither of those players are shown Yellow or Red shortly after. Or he warns Zaha for persistent persistent infringement its avoided.

@thecreecher08 @KentraHagatra Actually that’s not the case. The official can take disciplinary action at any time whether or not the play is stopped. The error was in the restart of play. Given the more serious foul by Anunga a needed DFK to be awarded to Charlotte. This was the confusing part for me.
