@JayDarkmoore I run a youth group. I use FB for contacting our members between 13-18yr old (and their parents of course). Banning FB for 13-16s makes it harder for charities/non-profits/youth groups to push out info quickly and easily to them, and also for them to reply.
@Lekan_Tijani_@PolitlcsUK "It's too high"? According to who? If parents were too bothered they'd implement restrictions on the device. It's 9 hours of 'screen time', not social media time.
How do you know the 9 hours wasn't on learning and education? How long did the parent spend over the weekend?
@PolitlcsUK I think if it was introduced for people growing up that don't have social media, they'd be more receptive. To these kids, it will be like taking something away they've had for years already.
Like taking a driving licence away from under 21s who've had it for years already.
@TonyL_01@PolitlcsUK I use Facebook to communicate with members of a youth group, most of them are aged between 13 and 18 (and their parents of course), so just blanket banning social media is going to be a pain for a lot of charities, youth groups, not-for-profits.
@PolitlcsUK It will make it difficult for youth groups that use social media for recruitment, and private groups on social media for keeping in touch with its 13-16yr old members at short notice or for events (their parents are are members too and see all messages posted of course)
@PolitlcsUK Stupid idea. Why not let the parents do their job?
We use Facebook public pages for recruitment for our youth group.
We also have a private Facebook group with our members, staff, and parents in it. Now the 13-16 yr olds wonโt be able to use it? ๐
@JohnNolancq97@FrankBr05713205 Or buy your own domain name for not much $, then use "[email protected]". Addresses are made up on the fly, and I use a different email whenever I register for things. They all forward off to my gmail so they're in the same place, and I don't use the gmail address.
@SantinaLula Itโs a filler to take your mind off queuing. Doesnโt make you ride any quicker if it wasnโt there. Thereโs also some that have never seen it and itโs their first ride.
@WallStreetApes One thing that pees me off when I visit Orlando for two weeks from the UK. The Hotel also charging $500+ to park at the hotel Iโve spent thousands to stay at. Itโs more to park than it costs for the two week rental.
@gblondon1@skytv@virginmedia Wanted to charge me ยฃ100/month to renew. Spoke on the ph9ne and they said with my 21 years I was a diamond VIP, and I ended up with around ยฃ50. So renewed. I did have Virgin quotes and prices ready for the sky rep too.
