Interesting to note that Premier Doug Ford claims Stan Cho made a "mistake."
But the "mistake" happened repeatedly over three years:
2023-24: $1,431 in Toronto accommodation
2024-25: $3,081 in Toronto accommodation
2025-26: $11,691 in Toronto accommodation
The "mistake" was also being repeatedly made by multiple PC MPPS to the overall tune of $120,000
#onpoli
From the hotel scandal to being caught with their pants down on the firefighting budget to the Billy Bishop back-of-a-napkin expansion plans, and the push to privatize water, it's clear that the PC are rudderless, unfocused, and spending more time pandering to private interests.
Canada is on fire.
Europe is on fire.
The Amazon is on fire.
Cities are breaking heat records.
Rivers are drying up.
Other countries are drowning in floods.
Storms are getting stronger.
Seasons don’t feel like seasons anymore.
And somehow…
climate change is still a debate.
The disgraceful abandonment of #Indigenous communities in northern Ontario that are threatened by #wildfires. These are the same communities that are being bullied and cajoled into agreeing to destructive mining projects.

Pedestrians & cyclists without auto insurance who are injured by hit & run or uninsured drivers used to be protected by the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Fund. Thanks to Doug Ford's cuts to insurance, key coverages for hit & run victims are gone.

"Don't tell me what you value. Show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value."
This year, Ontario budgeted $150 million for wildfire management after spending roughly $271 million last year, knowing full well that fire seasons are getting longer and more intense.
Meanwhile, @fordnation found:
$200M for an Ontario Place parking garage
$112M for a record-breaking partisan ad spend
$8M for the Premier's office payroll last year
$231M for cancelling green energy contracts
$1.9B for an earlier corner store alcohol rollout
$28.9M for a private jet purchase (cancelled only after he got caught)
$121,409 for Toronto PC MPPs to stay in Toronto hotels
$140,000+ for private charter flights
There are more examples....many, many more.
There is definitely a pattern here.
Budgets reveal priorities.
Ontario's 2026 wildfire management budget is going to cost Ontario SO much more down the road.

@fordnation@SylviaJonesMPP People are losing everything, including their lives, and you underfunded emergency planning
This is a core function of the government
You need to own this doug. This is on you.
@littlebitmisfit@GovTimWalz As someone who lives in the area - there were massive lightening storms on the weekend and the forest is tinder dry due to the heat - nature started these fires.
Ontario families have spent years hearing about new structures, new processes, 'record funding,' and new administrators. Meanwhile, over 70,000 children remain without core clinical autism services.
The priority must be funding services, not bureaucracy. Children can't pause time while @fordnation spends a decade "getting it done."

This article captures exactly why so many families are frustrated with the Ontario Autism Program.
While over 70K children wait yrs for meaningful services, the Ford government continues increasing red tape, bloating bureaucracy, and trying to hide the truth - that this program wasn't built to scale and they're perfectly ok with kids languishing on waitlists for YEARS.
The Ministry's response also repeats a familiar talking point; that families have access to "pillar programs." They present these as evidence the system is working.
It isn't.
Many families never access these programs. Those who do receive the pillars quickly realize they are very short-term/one-time, age/behaviour-specific supports; not the ongoing Core Clinical Services many autistic children need.
We heard this loud and clear from families across Ontario in the Ontario Autism Coalition's 2025 Community Survey. Read what they had to say about pillar programs and the years-long wait for services: https://t.co/V5PQtV65Xu
Families don't need another layer of administration. They need transparency, accountability, and funded services that reach children; not more bureaucracy. #onpoli #70KIsNotOK #NeedsBasedTherapy #Onted
Thank you @OPSEU and @ctv_jon for keeping this story alive. Our community appreciates this.

Doug Ford didn’t get rid of his #gravyplane. He just found a way to keep flying it on your dime.
The taxpayer funded Bombardier Challenger was sold at a $200k loss to Chartright — the same company now chartering it back to Ford at $10,000 an hour. Also billed to Ontario.
