@tom71266902 Natural gas suppliers are the biggest beneficiaries, which is why wind is being pushed so hard. Natural gas backup is increased in line with wind farms due to reliability issues
I'm an electrical power engineer
@JustABloke19@BritishAlba@Keir_Starmer I'd suggest you brush up on economics 101. You've failed to consider even the basics, and now claim that it's not simple.
If you actually knew what you were talking about you'd be able to explain your point
How does artificially high labour cost help improve productivity?
@JustABloke19@BritishAlba@Keir_Starmer This literally makes no sense and has no basis in economic reality.
Increasing labour cost beyond market value can only lead to increase in production cost and therefore reduced efficiency
An increase in wages can mean an increase in labour cost per unit time, or (1)
@JustABloke19@BritishAlba@Keir_Starmer Production cost per unit output. This leads to removal of capital from investors and damages to the industry and economy as a whole.
Look into general motors vs Toyota, unions are one of the reasons Japan makes more cars in America than America does (2)
@SandyWito1@ChrisMcEleny@JNHanvey So what is the distinction between a society becoming more equal and becoming more equitable? Surely equity would be covered by equality if equity simply means impartiality?
Or do you not really know the difference?
