Last day with the crazy science team 🥰 happy to have secured a permenant position from Aug with health and social care at Runshaw, roll on new challenges 🥳
Old workplace and new workplace could not be more different in terms of support of working mums! Old workplace I felt guilty if I had to take 2/3hrs out for his hospital appts, today my son had a hospital appt, workplace were amazing and even asked how it all went ❤️
Well thats it, all done and did my first yr teaching in a PRU! I loved working with the kids but this little munchkin has to come first ❤️ couple yrs supply here I come!
Poorly boy today, mummy had to come early home from work :-( another ear infection! Temp of 39 and being sick but was still asked to find someone else to pick him up! Glad I gave my notice in!
@MissWells2022@cravenscience1 I had to come home today as he is being sick and has a temp of 39, I feel like Im im trouble for doing so and I shouldnt! Imagine if school rang a parent for a child with same issues and the parent said 'oh I really shouldnt leave work' they would be so judged!
@cravenscience1 I plan to do supply for a bit, that way I can be flexible round him until he goes to school himself, where I will have built up experience in different types of schools to see where I want to go (Im PRU right now), defo not leaving altogether yet though
@MissWells2022@cravenscience1 My pt also got turned down so my notice went in. My 2yo has been really poorly this yr and Im not prepared to put the schools needs before my own child.
@Loobyg38@cravenscience1 Same, mine was sick today and had a temp of 39, has recently been in and out of hospital yet was told to try and find someone else to pick him up! No thanks!
@ballater6 I get 6 days special leave, but with a allergy toddler I have had quite a few off with illnesses too. I got an email when I was still in hospital with my 2.5yr old who was very poorly with covid to say it would be unpaid. I get it but not much compassion shown by slt at all.
