“It is with great sadness that I share with you Lieutenant Chad Brackman S1296 was struck by a vehicle this morning while working traffic control off duty in the City of Scottsdale.

@TarveshV@angurvadal@publixfan3@sciencecomic Actually everything that they said are really factors that ALL BUSINESSES do have to consider. So while no they might not be a part of us as a business; they get how things work and what is behind the scenes.
Small business is dying and we're killing it so much faster.
@angurvadal@TarveshV@publixfan3@sciencecomic That's right as a business we are supposed to cater. But my original reply was just how as our pay rises so do so many other factors. I'm not fragile, it's a funny sad how quick people are to jump and attack because it doesn't sound like what they want to hear. 🤷♀️
@angurvadal@TarveshV@publixfan3@sciencecomic I have people apply. I literally can't afford them. Those "excuses" are hurdles that we are overcoming. Going into covid at about half capacity, it's amazing that we're still here. You can attack us all you'd like for how "we don't pay our employees well" but we know better.
@yursythekitty@roninkakuhito@sciencecomic It's also just tips. This isn't factoring in their wage. That's extra on top. So this shit money works out to be about $20 an hour. When added to their pay rate... How is that shitty?
@sciencecomic During the shut down, but yes finding people who will work was hard before covid and is harder now. When people feel it's below them, they slack, even when making good money.
@sciencecomic As a small business who can't provide all of those things, you are a little. Minimum wage rising makes the price of sooo many more things go up...
@sciencecomic And to save the whole why don't you have employees anymore, we had had a fire the summer prior to covid, reopened late Oct 2019, and then got hit with the pandemic. It's been a solo show the whole time, thankfully my past employees when they had their hardship helped when able.
@publixfan3@sciencecomic If you can't understand how raising the pay wage for employees is a huge domino effect of making things less livable that's fine and dandy.
@Kazekiba2 Then not only do the prices of goods go up, so does housing cost, automotive care, day care, ALL OF IT raises. Then that extra $2 gets you less than what you already had. I understood this concept in high school but a lot of people clear can't see how logistics work.
@Kazekiba2 Why is that? Because we deal with inflation? We see how as we continue to raise the wage of living we create a economic bubble that can't support itself?
Can't any of you see that as employee costs go up businesses have to raise their prices to cover the wages of said employee.
