@Katy_primary97 We put a timer on and when it went off we took him to the toilet. Give lots of water to drink so that he gets used to the feeling of needing a wee. We also had a pom pom jar that got filled when he did wees and poos, with a prize once it was full.
@LeeBraganza Why can’t you just buy the school badge & either sew/iron it onto the supermarket sweatshirts at home, or better still, get the PTA to iron them on! Polo shirts, don’t need a badge! I’d be happier buying a badge, for a nominal amount & sewing them on a £5 supermarket sweatshirt
So much I agree with in this post! I’m definitely trying to incorporate more consolidation, next year. I taught time last week and counted 4 different exercises they had to cover, when the first was just too much for most of them!
I hope the curriculum is being carefully looked at & teachers are being consulted. Many ‘working towards’ children simply haven’t had time to consolidate skills, rather than being less able. We’ve got a maths curriculum that fires a variety of strategies at them without them ever being secure in one. Then we quickly bombard them with an obsession with ‘reasoning’ without them being confident in the basic skill. In English, they are expected to write to such a high standard by 11, they inevitably get rushed on. Children end up confused.
More coach dramas with @biggreencoach Stopped in Swindon (a massive detour) No one to pick up and now our driver is saying that he has to take a 45min break at 4:30. He also says he needs to wait 9 hours when we get to Cardiff. @ticketmasterhq1 bin this company off!
Waited almost 2hours for our @biggreencoach to Cardiff. Fobbed off and lied to by the company. @TicketmasterUK should review their partnership with them for events. No toilet on the coach either 👍🏻
Had a terrible experience with @TalkTalk where they started charging my mum for a broadband data add-on 2y after the account was closed! Then, in 3 months, trebled the amount and sold the ‘debt’ to a debt collector. She is 75 and recently widowed. @MartinSLewis
