Sia is a serialization format and library developed by Pouya (Kenshi's CEO) that facilitates inter-process communication in distributed computation frameworks.

This library was specifically designed to integrate with the Clio programming language and can act as a common data language for applications written in different languages (Go, Python, Typescript, Rust, C, C++, …), meaning dApps built on top of Unchained can import functions using Sia as if they were local functions.
