Chris Smalls, labor organizer and co-founder of the Amazon Labor Union, bravely set out earlier this month on the Handala, a ship of activists carrying vital humanitarian aid attempting to break the blockade that Israel has imposed and help the starving population of Gaza. On July 26th, those on board the Handala were intercepted and kidnapped by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

Chris Smalls, the only Black member of the crew, has been singled out, brutalized, and continues to be held while others have been released already. This exposes once again the racist brutality of the Israeli colonial regime, and their determination to punish anyone seeking to defy their genocidal death drive.
