It was great to celebrate our Founder, Joe Conrad, & our 7+ year partnership with @ColoradoStateU & @CSUHealth. What started in 2015 with the development of YOU at CSU has blossomed into the @YOU_atCollege solution suite, which is now serving 200+ campuses. Cheers to that!
#BlackHistoryMonth is a time to celebrate the rich cultural contributions from Black individuals and communities, while also providing greater understanding around the unique adversities that have impacted the lives of Black individuals in America.
In line with our commitment to increase #wellbeing impact within our BIPOC communities, and to help #smashthestigma around #mentalhealth, we’d like to share @mentalhealthcln's Roadmap to #BlackMentalHealth as a comprehensive resource to better understand the unique mental health needs of Black communities and individuals.
Data from the Roadmap highlights that "more than seven million Black and African American individuals are living with a mental health condition such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Yet, Black people are less likely to seek mental health support. Many Black people have learned to write off symptoms as ordinary or not mental health-related, which stems from a long history of stigma and fear of further discrimination."
Man Therapy is continuing to learn, partner, and evolve our approach to provide tools and resources that allow us to reach those who are at-risk of suicide and mental health needs, as well as provide an approach that is inclusive of any person from any lived experience.

“Nearly 1 in 10 men experience depression or anxiety, but less than half will receive treatment, potentially leading to the greater risk of suicide . . . That is unacceptable, and it is time men take charge of their mental health.” - Dr. Frank Ghinassi, @Rutgers_UBHC
