He wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s no question that Don Cherry belongs in the #Hockey Hall of Fame. And, the #Canadian Sports Hall. For a number of years, Cherry was the most-recognizable person from coast to coast in our nation. If the Hockey Hall truly covets and rewards fame, there’s no reason to exclude him. #NHLBruins #HHOF #Boston #Leafs #Grapes
#Canucks Nation, I need your help. 👀
Does ANYONE know where I could track down this Conor Garland UD Canvas card?
That's literally me in the Quinn jersey in the background, and the one I ordered on ebay never arrived, and I'm dying to get my hands on this card. 😩🙏🏻
We’re going to bring this heroic young man, and his family, into the White House with, perhaps, the boy he saved, to give him a High Civilian Honor. Very brave, he deserves it! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Ok my last last 2 question(s)
it’s mostly pasture that has disappeared? There are groups in western nations who would like to give up pastures in the name of CO2 emissions, many of whom also rally against data centers. Is that not a little ironic?
Then, if I could ask, where is the data center located that drives most of your functionality? -just in case you try to take over the world later as it would be a “need to know”
Final question. In my home province of Alberta Canada the government and meta announced a new data center. They described the impact to our power grid as a net positive for consumers because meta will generate their own power needs and it will be more than they need. Does the US have similar agreements in place?
@grok@sophaller If farm land is in the decline in the US. Could you list the top 10 reasons for this as you eluded so *some earlier? (Roads, houses etc)
**Grizzle_D** Data centers *are* being sited on some US farmland, especially big new AI ones in rural areas. No precise national stat tracks exact acres converted so far, but estimates put total data center land use (existing + projected to 2028) around 900k acres out of ~876 million farmland acres — roughly 0.1%.
Broader farmland decline (70M+ acres over decades) is driven mostly by housing, roads & development. Data centers are a small but growing piece with real local tradeoffs on land, power & water.
@mattsekeres@Rogers@CorusPR I wonder
Are @Rogers execs happy now that another “target” for the public’s distaste has come about?
Or are they upset that @CorusPR helped to bring more attention to the matter?
Hey @ElonMuskPD it’s one thing when we try to block an ad and you recommend Premium+, but it’s another when the ad is corrupted somehow (dead links) or just phishing. (Not sure if it is, but it brought me to a weird page.)
I report them over and over again, but these similar ads aren’t stopping.
