Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot".

Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name.

She adds: "I have grandchildren who are called that.

"Today, I want them to be proud of their grandmother.

"My name is known across the world now. They shouldn't be ashamed of carrying that name.

"Today we will remember Gisèle Pelicot."

A really misunderstood area when approaching EoL. Had many conversations with families regarding actual need/desire for nutrition during dying. A lot of misinformation around people ‘starving to death’ that simply isn’t true.

Early palliative care interventions make sense. Why wait until late-stage disease to prioritise comfort & function as well as recovery?
Have we frightened ourselves out of referring patients because of our own gatekeeping?

@ailish_butland The best I can think of is metathesis - it’s transposition of sounds/syllables in a word so might work here since ‘wheel’ and ‘chair’ are both 1 syllable in the word?
