The #Elks got the score to something that wasn't an embarrassment but it still. Was another disappointment. Pretty easy leaving Commonwealth, as so many had left early.
@matthewiwanyk I really miss the Green and Gold post game show. It was my go to program coming back from home games where I'd catch the last half and of course hear the whole thing after road games. It is going to be hard without my favorite station going forward. 😢
Devastating news.
My thoughts go out to those many fine people at the station — hosts, producers, others behind the scene — who just lost their jobs, a number of personal friends among them. This is a sad day for Edmonton sports fans.
If in Lacombe-Ponoka you can compare a gay child to human feces and still win 72% of the vote, this is not a report card on the disposable politician, but rather on our society.
Alberta, we have some reflecting to do.

DEBATE 2023: "Ms. Smith wants to fight with Ottawa. You want to fight with the media. You want to fight, frankly, with your former self."
👏 @RachelNotley tells it like it is.
Danielle Smith’s worried about “second-hand crystal meth smoke” when the province is literally suffocating from climate crisis related wildfire smoke.
Guess it’s easier to demonize vulnerable/unhoused folks in Alberta than oil & gas giants. #Abdebate#ableg#abwildfires
She attempted to obstruct justice. She said this about those with cancer. She will try to spin it all on stage tonight, but once someone shows you who they are, believe them.
Smith with media after the debate...
The last minute and a half is especially telling.
She says she wants Albertans to see the "real" Danielle Smith, but when pressed to answer questions on the Ethics Commisioner report...
She leaves.
That's the real Smith.

I had flashbacks of the famous 1984 Mulroney-Turner debate. People forget that it was Turner who started it, and allowed for Mulroney to give the famous "you had an option sir" lecture. Surprised that Smith felt that going on the offence over ethics was a wise strategy.
.@AbDanielleSmith attracted another deplorable. UCP candidate in Calgary-Fish Creek, Myles McDougall, says “Black Albertans don’t want education, don’t want to raise their children, and live in a ‘ghetto culture’.
This is who they are.

Alberta Premier Smith breached Conflicts of Interest Act says ethics commissioner.
“‘In the whole scheme of things, it is a threat to democracy to interfere with the administration of justice,’ Alberta Ethics Commissioner Marguerite Trussler wrote.”
