Вона мала все в Америці, але обрала Україну і сьогодні вона - бойова медикиня, яка щодня бореться за життя наших воїнів.

Вікторія Гончарук народилася в маленькій Баранівці на Житомирщині. У 13 років вирішила вивчити англійську, а у 15 - поїхала до Америки за програмою обміну.

Потім - університет у Каліфорнії, подорожі по всьому світу, дві спеціальності. І нарешті - запрошення на роботу в інвестиційний банк на Волл-стріт.

Вона жила мрією: здобути досвід, повернутися в Україну й допомагати українським стартапам розвиватися.

Але 24 лютого 2022 року всі плани розсипалися в одну мить.

Вона була в Сан-Франциско, коли отримала повідомлення: "Київ бомблять".

Перші півроку вона волонтерила, купувала спорядження для рідних, які пішли в тероборону та ЗСУ.

Але з кожним днем розуміла: цього мало. Її місце - не в Нью-Йорку.

Наприкінці 2022 року Вікторія закрила всі справи, залишила квартиру на Мангеттені, роботу мрії - і повернулася в Україну.

Вона стала доброволицею батальйону "Госпітальєри", отримала позивний "Торі" й нині рятує поранених на евакуації.

Найважче каже Вікторія - дивитися в очі зовсім молодим хлопцям.

18-річний боєць, у якого 15 годин стояв турнікет, питав її крізь сльози: "Мені руку не відріжуть, правда?". А вона не могла йому цьому обіцяти, тому що втрата кінцівки була неминучою.

Вікторія не шкодує про свій вибір. Вона каже: людина, яка побувала на війні, вже ніколи не зможе жити як раніше.

Ця дівчина мала все, про що мріють мільйони. І вона все залишила. Не для слави. Не для грошей. А тому, що інакше не могла.

⚠️Il est temps que l’Europe se réveille, cesse de trembler, livre les armes, frappe où ça fait mal et assume. Sinon on le regrettera amèrement quand ces mêmes soldats, formés en Ukraine, frapperont plus près de chez nous.

To teraz Wam opowiem o tym, jak jest dzisiaj na Ukrainie, jak ja ją zobaczyłem, moimi oczami. Ukrainę, o której ignoranci mówią, że „nie ma tam wojny”.

Pierwszy szok:
Przejeżdżam granicę polsko-ukraińską i już na pierwszym mijanym cmentarzu widzę las powiewających ukraińskich flag, zatkniętych przy nagrobnych krzyżach żołnierzy, którzy oddali życie w walce z ruskim okupantem. Ten widok powtarza sie na każdym mijanym cmentarzu.

Cala masa grobów ludzi, którzy zginęli, zatrzymując rosyjską armię wiele kilometrów od polskiej granicy.

Drugi szok:
Ukraina jest jak ul. Wszędzie trwają prace. Tu budują nowe drogi, tam prace w polu, gdzie indziej z ciężarówek sprzedawane są wielkie arbuzy.

Jakże inny jest to kraj od tego, który odwiedzałem przed wojną. Jakby wszyscy byli w ciągłym ruchu i jakby wszyscy wiedzieli, że mimo wojny trzeba żyć dalej.

Trzeci szok:
Zameldowałem się w hotelu, odebrałem kartę do pokoju, rozpakowałem się i zorientowałem się, że nie mam kabla do telefonu.

Wróciłem więc do recepcji zapytać, czy może mają jakiś kabel, który mogliby mi pożyczyć?

Pani z recepcji oddała mi swój.
Chwilę porozmawialiśmy. O tym, jak teraz jest z gośćmi, że mają głównie Ukraińców, że Polaków jest jak na lekarstwo itd.

I na koniec powiedziała coś, co mnie zwyczajnie zawstydziło.

Zaczęła mi dziękować.

Za to, co Polacy zrobili w 2022 roku. Za to, jak przyjęliśmy Ukraińców uciekających przed wojną. Powiedziała, że nigdy nam tego nie zapomną. Że zawsze będą pamiętać dobro, które wtedy od nas dostali. I że to nieprawda, że Ukraińcy nie są Polakom wdzięczni.

Serio, zrobiło mi się głupio.
Bo nie trzeba być geniuszem, żeby wiedzieć, dlaczego czuła potrzebę powiedzenia mi właśnie tego. To efekt tego, co dzieje się dzisiaj w Polsce.

Czwarty szok:
Poszedłem wieczorem coś zjeść i napić się piwa. Naprawdę tego potrzebowałem.

Usiadłem przy stoliku w jednej z restauracji i po prawej zobaczyłem dwóch młodych chłopaków.

Jeden bez prawej ręki.
Drugi z protezą lewej nogi.
Weterani.
Siedzą, piją piwo, rozmawiają.
Dwa stoliki dalej podobna sytuacja. Tylko tamten facet stracił rękę nie przy łokciu, ale znacznie wyżej, przy ramieniu.

Przyszła kelnerka odebrać moje zamówienie, więc zapytałem chłopaków obok czy mogę postawić im piwo?

Popatrzyli na mnie zdziwieni i zapytali skąd jestem?
Odpowiedziałem, że Polski.
No i usłyszałem, że to oni postawią piwo mnie.

Przysiadłem się bliżej i pytam: dlaczego? Przecież to ja jestem wdzięczny im. Za to, co robią. Za to, co poświęcili.

I wtedy usłyszałem, że oni nigdy nie przestaną być wdzięczni Polakom za 2022 rok.
Bo żona jednego z nich i narzeczona drugiego mogły znaleźć schronienie w Polsce.

I znowu zrobiło mi się wstyd.

Nie za nich.
Za to, co dzieje się teraz u nas.

W ciągu jednej doby usłyszałem podobne podziękowania cztery razy.

I powiem Wam, żże to wszystko nie świadczy o nas dzisiaj najlepiej.

Bo przyzwoici ludzie nie pomagają po to, żeby później wystawić rachunek i domagać się wdzięczności.

Pomagają dlatego, że ktoś potrzebuje pomocy.

Pomagają, bo tak trzeba.

A ci, którzy dzisiaj najgłośniej domagają się wdzięczności od Ukrainek i Ukraińców, zapewne w 2022 roku nie pomogli żadnemu z nich.

Ja po tej podróży wiem jedno jeszcze mocniej niż wcześniej.

Byłem, jestem i będę po stronie Ukrainy i Ukraińców.

Une forte explosion s'est produite dans l'usine de fabrication de munitions KNDS Ammo Italy à Colleferro, à 40 km au sud de Rome !

L'explosion a eu lieu dans le département de compression de la poudre et a été entendue à des kilomètres à la ronde.

Pour rappel, KNDS est une entreprise franco-allemande de l’armement.
