Check out my latest article: Grolltex Ships 'World's Smallest Graphene Strain Sensor' to Large European Partner https://t.co/bUBoCx3kUo via @LinkedIn
Graphene standards: Good first steps noted in https://t.co/ylrKIY9wBe establishing parameters and measurement techniques as well as aligning on a consistent lexicon regarding what is and what is not 'graphene'. Grolltex would be happy to weigh in on CVD graphene. Jeff Draa, CEO
@adriannixon I'll definitely be going to this talk by Adrian. I've heard a lot about the space elevator and Adrian is very well informed so expect some interesting information and candid observations to be conveyed. Jeff Draa, CEO, Grolltex (graphene-rolling-technologies)
@WoodDante Hi James. Sorry if this is a downer. What you describe is possible but would be prohibitively expensive and your desired outcome could likely be achieved in an easier way. Hope that helps at least address your query. Jeff Draa
Grolltex graphene hosts US Representative Scott Peters, a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, for a visit. Here Grolltex CEO, Jeff Draa, (left) highlights the class 1000 manufacturing clean room and talks about how the US must play catch-up in graphene R&D.
@adriannixon Thanks, Adrian. We believe this really helps advance the field, as graphene performance is dramatically improved when paired with hBN. A look at recent WW graphene patent applications for advanced nano scale devices shows many new designs with hBN. Jeff Draa, CEO, Grolltex
Good progress by Grolltex - Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) now available commercially in larger scale sheets https://t.co/OXqCbU1rqW https://t.co/a9XmBlKm5P https://t.co/nnqyUmceYD
@adriannixon Count us as VERY interested. Please do share as soon as you are comfortable. We would also be willing to collaborate to help solve this piece if helpful. Too important for all of us. This hill must be taken to enable proliferation. So much rides on it. Thanks. Jeff Draa
As usual, Adrian Nixon does quality yeoman's work, finding and reporting graphene advances. Roll to roll is the future of electronics grade graphene and he who solves the CVD 'transfer' issue will have made MAJOR contributions. Jeff Draa, Grolltex (graphene-rolling-technologies) https://t.co/HKPX8M7LME
Good work by MIT - Have made graphene up to 10m long on Cu foil. Will be impressed when they can do single crystal https://t.co/vBgyTQ5vUV https://t.co/uoCiPTVdMB
Incredible achievement from ICFO and The Flagship, combining monolayer graphene and hBN. "Scientists use graphene to squeeze light to just one atom thick paving the way for tiny switches and sensors". See Alphr dot com and The Engineer, U.K. - Graphene needs hBN! Jeff Draa
McKinsey Co., consultants and analysts (lots of very smart people) just reported that graphene in semiconductors will be a $70B market within 11-12 years. That's not just ANY graphene; that's Grolltex' type of graphene - monolayer, made by CVD. That's HUGE. Jeff Draa
@NGAgraphene Thanks, Daniel. And next month, we're adding hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) to our product mix. This material is the atomic match to graphene and is as good an insulator as graphene is a conductor. Device designers will now have BOTH tools in their kits. Jeff Draa
Hello, graphene fans! Tech news program, NewsWatch was at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year and stopped to talk about Grolltex monolayer graphene! Check it out. https://t.co/xktAxIGW3S
Grolltex’s "Graphene-Based Multi-Modal Sensor" patent application was recently granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This 'super sensor' is made of a single atom layer graphene sheet and Grolltex calls it 'the smallest, most sensitive sensor in the world'.
