Will there be a higher demand for specialist or generalist UX designers?
Here are the answers from the 2026 UX Trends Report via the World Usability Congress. Thoughts?π€π€

Will share a couple of fun inputs from a 2026 UX Trends Report Iβve read recently. Always interesting to see how others in the industry are thinking. First one: βWhich topics will be most important for you in 2026?β Surprised? π

And last week I also picked up some insights from Dr. Christiane Moserβs mini-lecture at the #UCPXbarcamp. Sharing a slightly adapted UX metrics table that was shown during the talk. Anything in there you check regularly?

UX measurement became a must for me,
working as a solo product designer in a team of oneπ So Iβve been trying to level up here. On my wishlist now: Measure UX Design Impact https://t.co/jIoEZ8TWiy by Vitaly Friedman. Any other sources tips?
Update to my FAB in Liquid Glass:
I first placed the FAB on the right (replacing Search) - but devs confirmed itβs not technically possible, since only Search can have that style for now. So I switched to a centered FAB, restructured to 3 tabs, and it finally clicked. #iOS26
Omg look at this UX solution for the action button within a liquid glass bottom nav I spotted at @linear - they integrated it as a a switcher tab. Wow!!

@ramzesenok omg! thanks for letting me know - thatβs exactly why designers and developers should work hand in hand!π€π» imagine me spending weeks making it work within my information architecture, handing it off, and then my dev goes: βnope, not gonna happenβπ
π§ Repositioning the Floating Button in iOS 26π§΅
Looking through @Appleβs Liquid Glass apps (from my previous post + some on my phone), I noticed an interesting pattern in how FABs are handled after iOS 26.

Iβm still weighing options. Has anyone experimented with FABs in iOS Liquid Glass? Would love to see some other takes or examples. And what do you think about mine?
Apple hasnβt documented this case (since FAB is a native Material componentπ), so yes, designers interpret it differently. Still, most lean toward integrating it into the nav β familiar layout in a Liquid Glass aesthetic.
I was working on an iOS 26 redesign and exploring how to place a floating action button within a liquid glass bottom nav (π§π€), and stumbled upon this golden spring: Appleβs curated redesigns from other apps.

@ramzesenok@figma I honestly donβt think itβs about the skill itself idk. I had an impression, the system was just not there yetπ₯Ί But you didnβt use AI for prototyping per se, did you? Solely for coding?
Tried AI prototyping. TL;DR: still prototyping myselfπ₯² Most tools generate designs inspired by your input, not iterate on your layers. @figma make is great, but iterations are still endless. Manual is much better for now. Your experience? #UX#AIprototyping#figmamake
