Future #4 or #5 with some of the best pure stuff in college baseball and the savage mentality to match it. Possessing a carry FB up to 99.8 mph and multiple breaking balls w/ near top of scale spin, his stuff and grit wins high leverage situations over command. His natural feel for supination allows him to tunnel an array of 3 distinct BB’s off different FB locations. Due to this, hitters will rarely guess right on pitch type and even if correct they have to account for plus life. All 3 breakers are consistently in the zone even in deep counts, adding another element of difficulty for opposing bats. Although more valuable to an MLB club as SP, the ceiling may be higher as RP.

Mechanically, his less than MLB average height is actually a strength. With a stocky/compact/proportional frame comes exceptional balance, a highly repeatable delivery/AA, and freakish core+lower half strength to rotate with. Delivery pace gradually increases, building momentum for external phase of throw. His coil & upper half stack follow the same plan, gradually working against the stride at same time+pace of stride. This allows stored energy and connection to be maximized just before being transferred violently into the lead leg and arm @ landing. It’s a true full circle AA (H3/4) w/ efficient elbow lift & spiral that shows well above average mobility, but can get even better. The depth of the hip hinge & ability to get out of it explosively into block is very good. Front arm lever can be less glove dominant which would improve ctrl/cmmd.

FB OVR: (95-97 T99) 6/6. Plus life (17-18 IVB) & velo. Would go ++ velo in relief. 5 ctrl, fringe cmmd currently.

SW OVR: (85-87 T88) 6/6. Consistent shape, flashing wipeout sweep, depth. Innate feel. 2.7k rpm avg

CUT OVR: (89-92) 55/55. Stays on FB trajectory well w/ sudden, late depth. Shape occasionally varies. 2.6k rpm avg

CB OVR: (81-84) 45/5. Hump out of hand but shows consistent shape and ability to land. 2.7k rpm avg

Control: 5/55. Command: 45/5.

Separators: FB velo+life, SW/CUT/CB ctrl, SW/CUT life, On Field Makeup.
