Smoke from the Utah and Nevada fires blew in this evening making for some interesting unfiltered shots of the sun. You can see several sun spots clearly and several others faintly if you zoom in!

Here's a presentation that I gave to the Black Canyon Astronomy Club highlighting a little about myself and some images from my remote telescope.

I was testing out a new astro vlog setup in this video so I captured from my backyard where the skies were not nearly as dark as I would like, but I still managed to capture the Pleiades, Orion, and probably most prominently Jupiter in the final photo at the end of the video!
It was very windy while I was capturing these photos so to ensure that there was no motion in the flowers, I captured a very short exposure (1/250) for the foreground with a bright flashlight.
The sky + background horizon was captured in a 30 second exposure.
I was able to create this foreground by masking out the headlamp light between 2 separate images out of a sequence of 10 images which all contained some part of the image blown out.
The sky is tracked and stacked.
