Roblox false flagged two of my games (diner & bakery) as social hangout games today. they did this to the salon a month ago as well, this system is just terrible. I know hardly anyone plays these anymore, but i've appealed and hopefully can get them back up soon.
Is this a common issue happening with other roblox devs? I've got over 2000 daily players according to my stats on this game, yet I'm still ineligible. How are only 275 out of thousands of players monthly 'authentic' or am I misunderstanding the requirement?
If our roblox game demographics are majority players in the 9-12 range, how are we supposed to hit eligibility engagement of 500 16+ players? My games are made FOR KIDS, no one plays them over the age of 16.
I'm still going to finish the game I've been working on, but I can't see it doing well whatsoever with all of these restrictions. I don't know where to go from here.
I get roblox is trying to combat a lot of bad content being on the site, but this is gutting my audience & i'm sure a lot of other smaller devs too.
Unfortunately, Salon & Spa is not popular enough to be an all ages game anymore :/ they've set an eligibility limit to where u have to have a certain amount of unique players per month or something. So depressing.
mrmudman END of an era :(
having to walk away after 15yrs on the platform is so sad & disappointing
repeated attempts to plead his circumstances - no empathy and humanity in responses
punished for 2d clothes he uploaded 13years ago when he was 9 yrs old

Overall, this entire thing reads like a quick way to 'handle' child safety problems without actually working to improve moderation and communication with their userbase.
So this tweet got way more eyes on it than i anticipated. I am aware we get to keep certain perks, however the big issue at hand (for me at least) is paywalling our audience. My further thoughts here https://t.co/xJVy6k4MyG
@ArawDev My audience is primarily children so I will have to pay to keep my usual player base. I just find it incredibly bizarre to paywall the ability for kids to play your games and am curious how this will effect Roblox as a whole
@ArawDev ie if most devs are incentivized to create 16+ games due to the paywall, wont this push a lot of kids off the platform due to less content geared towards them? And on top of that, the need to monetize your game to feel like it's worth the subscription.
I feel so bad for kids and new devs on the platform. I grew up playing and creating on Roblox and now they've paywalled practically everything... So much for powering imagination.

I'm very sick of Roblox constantly pushing out updates that are anti-user and anti-creator. Almost all the changes over the past couple years have done more harm to normal users than to bad actors. It's been very hard and demotivating to be a Roblox developer in the modern time.
