Revelation 3:14-22
A story is told about a German Tigoni ranch owner who was doing agricultural consulting for a farmer in Kirinyaga. He asked the farmer the size of his property, to which he replied, "about half an acre."
He invited them to become truly rich by seeking only what He could provide; purity, character, righteousness, and wisdom.
As we toil for earthly stuff, let us not make the Laodicean mistake. Instead, let's keep our perspective right about what it means to be rich.
John 6:5-13 [NIV] When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. Philip answered him,
Jesus first tested Philip, then performed a miracle and later on withdrew from being made king. Your talent, your skill, your praise, your devotion, however little however small, Jesus can use that for His glory. But like the small boy, you have to offer your lunch to Jesus...
