@TheCelticSeer@GenTXer2 And Trevor Horn produced 90125 which is Yes' most popular album.
Geoff Downes was in the original lineup of Asia with Steve Howe.
Congratulations! 1) You will have a blast with this thing. And... 2) You have won "Most Boring Drone Picture 2017" with this one!๐ https://t.co/FdZ7TWhjso
My first game was there in June of 1973 and have attended many Braves and Falcons games there with fond memories. But do I miss it: no. It was a joke of a stadium due to the lack of maintenance of the turf until the Braves hired Ed Mangan. I'm glad both the Braves & Falcons have separate stadiums.
I grew up in Alabama and we had Braves games on regular TV. I went to my first Braves game in person in 1973 and saw Hank Aaron hit 2 home runs. That instantly instilled my fandom. We still had games on local TV, but in 1977, we got cable which included WTCG eventually becoming WTBS, and then TBS. I watched a lot of bad baseball in the 70s and most of the 80s, but the 90s forward made all of those lean years worth it.
@chrisdimino@Braves Since they announced on the telecast that the Braves that 25% of the season is complete, Walt Weiss has completely exceeded expectations. I have been extremely impressed with him. If this continues, he is easily the manager of the year.
Heartbreaking day for us longtime Braves fans. It was Bobby Cox who took some guy named Dale Murphy who struggling catcher/1B, and converted him into an MVP Gold Glove outfielder. When Ted Turner fired Bobby, he was asked who is the best man for the job. Tedโs answer: the man I just fired. Obviously bringing him back proved Ted was right.
I didnโt always agree with Bobbyโs game management, but he proved me wrong more often than not. He was instrumental in making the Braves an elite franchise and we cannot thank him enough. Rest easy, Skipper. @braves #bravescountry
Super Sky Point to Bobby Cox, who piloted the Braves to 14 division titles and a World Series triumph. Perhaps most impressively, he was ejected 161 times during his Hall of Fame career. Thatโs an entire season of righteous anger. Tell St. Peter to watch balls and strikes. #RIP
Here's quite a list off the top of my head:
No billboard business
No WTCG/WTBS
No overnight news on WTBS (Bill Tush)
None of the great promotions for the Braves: Wet T-Shirt Contests, Ostrich Races, Headlocks and Wedlocks
Hiring of the first Black GM: Bill Lucas
Hiring Bobby Cox the first time.
Firing Bobby Cox saying that I just fired the best man for the job.
Re-hiring Bobby Cox as the GM
Having Hank Aaron build a solid minor league system
Winning the America's Cup
Buying the Hawks
Hiring Stan Kasten
Managing the Braves to a 0-1 record
Creating CNN
Creating CNN2 (Headline News)
Bringing Bobby Cox back as the manager
Hiring John Schuerholz as the GM
From worst to first
Acquiring an NHL expansion team (only to sell it when Time Warner began divesting its sports assets)
Philips Arena (now State Farm Arena)
Numerous Humanitarian Causes
Partner in Ted's Montana Grill
And hiring your dad and Pete Van Wieren to combine with Ernie Johnson, Sr. as the voices of my youth.
Know this about Ted Turner...
If not for him:
-The Braves leave Atlanta.
-The Hawks leave Atlanta.
-No TBS.
-No CNN.
-Atlanta loses its "international" status and probably loses the Olympics.
-Coke probably relocates.
-WCW Wrestling never comes to fruition.

@LucasBolden1 Ernie Sr, Skip and Pete. They were the voices of my childhood then add Don and Joe during the glory years of the 90s.
But I loved Boog. It was a shame he moved on. And I think Brandon for TV and Ben for radio are also great in todayโs era.
@lindseygaetani I presume you didnโt do any updates on the stick or you arenโt aware of any. They updated to a new platform recently which might impact you.
