Everyone talking about a potential recession is forgetting that we already had a recent recession.

It occurred in Q1 and Q2 of 2022 — those were two quarters of negative GDP growth.

In what should have been a national scandal, the National Bureau of Economic Research claimed it wasn't a recession and the mainstream media ran with that story.

We can't live in a world where a random non-profit has the final say on what should be a simple, quantifiable metric.

If you count the 2022 recession, the United States has had 2 different recessions in the last 5 years.

Could we have another one? Sure, anything is possible.

But ignoring the fact that we have already had 2 recessions in the last half-decade increases the odds that you will be mispositioned for the future.
