@ItsTripwyre @Father0fThree This is why I think the polling system is silly. It's a cop out for Jagex so they don't have to take credit or criticism for game design decisions. That's all it ever has been. Also pvp updates essentially exist as "integrity updates" for the last two years, not polled updates.
@ItsTripwyre I don't think they care or have thought it out that much. If we're talking about certain pvp clans this is purely just to ruin people's time for trolling.
@ItsTripwyre Imo this comes from a general sense of entitlement over the game. Sections of the community feel like gatekeepers of "muh old school". These ppl don't pvp, they don't skill, they just pvm. Jagex practically has to sidestep polling with integrity changes to fix related issues.
@ItsTripwyre Polling is very problematic to begin with, and I think we've discussed that at length in the past. Letting your community be game designers is a mess at best. I often think the feelings people have about "wasted dev time" or "this doesn't fit OSRS" are generally baffling.
@EvilFootLong Tldr they can bar him from ever holding public office again. Also it's the right thing to do when the President commits crimes. Have to hold people accountable.
@ItsTripwyre Yeah usually it goes something like "oh hey yeah they stream don't they? Well I don't really watch anymore... *unfollow*"
People come and go but the real ones will stay around :) just glad I can pop in once and a while to catch up!
@Iron_Cub Generally considered safer and easier to rehash old IP since you generally know how it will perform and how to market it.
New IP is riskier and requires market research, so investors won't always go for it.
@shnon2015 There's a portion of people out there who understand just how fucked US infrastructure is and routinely try to convince people to invest in it. Sadly it's a losing battle most places bc all you have to say is "wow that's expensive, they're gonna raise taxes" boom, dead.
@dontgive_adamn @AOC Hope that explains things simply. Trust me, the Dems in the house passed 3 separate bills to the Senate specifically just for covid relief. R controlled Senate didn't give a hoot and let all 3 die without a vote.
@dontgive_adamn @AOC Bc it was the typical yearly omnibus spending bill to keep certain parts of the govt and foreign aid going. They pass one of these bills routinely. However, since Rs managed to block aid for 8 months straight there was no choice but to attach Covid relief to the omnibus bill.
