First job in professional baseball was as a broadcast intern for the Saltdogs. We clinched the first half division that year. Will never forget Charlie coming up to the booth and pouring a beer on us while we were wrapping up the postgame show to make us a part of the celebration. Would always come and say hello in the years that followed. Longest tenured employee in American Association history and just a truly good human being. First ballot AA Hall of Famer. Congrats and thank you Charlie!
Thank you, Charlie Meyer.
After more than 26 years leading the Lincoln Saltdogs, Charlie’s impact on this organization, Haymarket Park, and the Lincoln community is impossible to measure. From championship moments to the everyday memories that made the ballpark special, his leadership helped shape Saltdogs baseball into what it is today.
Wishing Charlie all the best in retirement! We’ll see you at the ballpark, just in a different seat.

Congratulations to former Goldeyes manager and player Rick Forney on being inducted into the @AA_Baseball Hall of Fame! 👏

Jeff helped build the foundation for two of independent baseball's most storied franchises in Winnipeg and Fargo-Moorhead. The RedHawks' dynasty teams of the 90s/2000s remain the gold standard, and the industry as a whole wouldn't be where it is today without him. RIP legend.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are saddened to announce that longtime pitcher, coach and front office staff member Jeff Bittiger passed away Saturday at his home in Pennsylvania after a private battle with cancer. He was 63.
Bitt will be remembered for his determination on and off the field, his love for the game of baseball and the countless players he coached and helped to greater career success.
JABARI HENRY IS THE HOME RUN KING! 👑
Number 147. Jabari Henry is forever in the American Association history books. ✅

Took six years, but finally joined the four plate club. Had to be for two reps and had to be wearing the Driveline shirt. Backed it up for another double. Retiring from lifting and need a new hobby.

An all-time register you can aggregate by team/franchise/league/player/career, plus a map of every player where their birthplace is on record.
This Reggie moment has always stood above any of the statistical achievements. At the end of the 2017 championship celebration, Reggie went out of his way to give props to our closer who had a tough finish to the season.
Congrats to Tyler on a phenomenal career. Tore up indy ball and forced his way back to an organization two different times. Grade A person off the field who always played the game hard on it. Excited for his transition into player development.
Happy retirement to Wilmington’s own Tyler Hill‼️
The Delaware Military Academy alum,
former Wilmington University commit, one-time Blue Rocks opponent with the Red Sox, and then turned Blue Rocks outfielder was instrumental in capturing our 5th championship in 2019…
The Goldeyes and the City of Winnipeg will always be special, and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for an overwhelmingly positive experience and memories that will last forever.
Thank you, Winnipeg. Cheers for another great 30 seasons!
Exciting, but bittersweet news: I have accepted a minor league analyst role with the New York Mets. Unsure of where it will ultimately lead, but it is the right fit at the right time and will allow for significantly more time with family back home.
The engagement and electricity you create at Shaw Park is unmatched, and your knowledge of the game and the team are what glues the rich history of the franchise together.
