Doing the guided tour of the cliff dwellings takes like 45 minutes. Then you leave. That’s it. Hiking the sand dunes? Yeah I spent about 15 minutes trying to hike them, realized hiking sand is incredibly difficult as you slide down every step. The view from the top was absolutely not worth the effort. White sands is way cooler, but also takes about an hour to see it all and get the point. Indiana dunes is easier to hike due to the vegetation. Death Valley dunes are pretty short and the sand is harder. We have too many national parks with Dunes and Caves, they’re basically all the same.
