Columbus and Islanders lose, Caps win. #Flyers just need to win one of their last two games to get a playoff berth and end a 5-year drought. They can clinch Monday vs. visiting Carolina.

"We were kidding around at the All-Star Game, putting on a show.
Joe Morgan hit a couple into the seats, Steve Garvey hit a couple into the bullpen. Then Greg Luzinski stepped up and made it look like he was driving golf balls. Everything he hit went out of sight.
Just awesome."
Johnny Bench.
"Luzinski was a doorway and a half.
They could hold the Winter Olympics on his shoulders, balance Rhode Island on his knees and plug up leaky dams with his feet."
Rich Wescott.
"They’re going to have to start a separate record book:
‘Most home run, roof.’"
Ron Kittle.
During the 1983 season as a designated hitter with the White Sox, “The Bull” became the first hitter in the then 73-year history of Comiskey Park to hit three home runs onto or over the outfield roof.
"The only way you can do that is by breaking into the equipment room."
Pete Rose on Greg Luzinski's claim that Luzinski would steal 20 bases in a season. Greg Luzinski was one of the first players to annually purchase $20,000 in tickets for underprivileged children.
Both in Philadelphia and Chicago, the “Bull Ring” was a popular area for children to watch their favorite team as Greg Luzinski’s guests.
“If somebody else did that to you, you’d probably hold a grudge against him the rest of your life…with Gordie…you wear that with a badge of honor.”
A battle wound from Gordie Howe is a story a man will tell for the rest of his life.
It is hard to believe it's been a year since we lost Jamie Bramburger, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, colleague and community volunteer extraordinaire. You are missed dearly good buddy; would have loved to chat with you about the Olympics & that Men's hockey final.
We're saddened to learn of the passing of Helen Plager, the widow of former Blues great Barclay Plager.
After Barclay's passing in 1988, Helen made St. Louis her home and was described as both the life of the party and the glue of the family.
Our condolences go out to the Plagers during this time.
