Enjoyed covering the @grstormbb ID Camp yesterday. First of a few to come from the three sessions. Starting with the 2030 class.

Featuring: @jackbball33 @KamaniWalk45672 Elijah Dorsey, Cristiano Contero, Carter Buchholz, @DesahnBaker23 @GradyHiller20

In a uber talented post grouping. Hastings 6-8 2028 Jason Jimenez standing out with his length and mobility. Will need to add weight but a lot of upside.

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

So Kellen Paul is going to finish above the rim now? That’s not really fair from one of the better shooters in the state.

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

The depth of the point guard class in the 2030 on display at the @grstormbb ID camp. @HoopsBigReds Kamari Moore Walker, @HudsonvilleBB Carter Bucholz, and Manton’s Grady Hiller doing work this afternoon

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Hunter Trine showing why Hillsdale Academy will be one of the biggest talented teams in Division IV for the next four years. The powerfully built 6-4 20230 post playing well at the @grstormbb ID camp and should be a nice complement to Jackson Huffman is the next few years

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

You might have to go back to Nucleus Smith (yes that was his name kids, look him up) to find a more electric finisher from the backcourt spot in Michigan than @goCCcougars 2029 point guard Miles Burgin. He can GET UP and doesn’t appear to topping out physically at all

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Some serious shooting going on the @grstormbb ID camp. Of course Kellen Paul and AJ Lambers doing what they do. On the opposite court new Midland Dow arrival Bryton Nostrant showing his shooting touch

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Anyone thinking there will be a severe talent drop off at Wayne Memorial this year hasn’t seen Christian Baylor play. The versatile 2029 6-4 forward is playing well at the @grstormbb ID Camp.

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Pretty strong Northern Michigan contingent at this afternoon’s @grstormbb ID camp. TCSF’s Mikey Bauman and Tyler Ribel with Boyne City’s Nathan Wells among other 2029’s. Inland Lakes Zander Robinson and @CadillacHoops 6-7 post @Alex_McGowan15 with the 2028’s

[Aj Lambers @ajlambers16]

STORM was well represented at McGuirk Arena on Sunday as CMU took on SVSU in an exhibition.

The STORM Player & Coach Alum taking the floor reached double digits.

The GRBB HS League Elite 8 was as good as it gets Sunday: Rockford, Northview, West Ottawa , Muskegon, Grand Ledge & Hudsonville but it was @cwade311 & @GrandvilleBBall who owned the day.

Congratulations to the @GrandvilleBBall for winning their bracket at the @grstormbb Fall League. A strong dramatic day for squad led by 2027 point guard Carter Wade and 2029 Heyden Jeremie

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Assistant coach from D3 Indiana blue blood @TrineThunderMBB on hand for @grstormbb Fall League Finale. With their somewhat new head coach’s Michigan roots. I believe they will be recruiting the Mitten a little harder than in the past. There is some evidence

[Jonathon Gilbert @Gilbert_Hoops]

Another good point guard battle brewing at the @grstormbb Fall League Finale. GR Christian’s 2027 Braylon Taylor is on one. Doing it all for the Eagles. However this is as good as I have seen @BCBulldogsBBall 2029 prospect Caden Smoker play as well.

VIDEO: Highlights from a Fall Ball basketball game on Sunday at MSA Woodland. Grandville beat Rockford in the championship game.
