Dave Rennie’s first three Tests are unusual for how uniquely pass-happy and kick-skeptic they were. We have coined the acronym CPR (carry-pass-ruck) to talk about load in attack by these All Blacks thus far and I have predicted it is untenable in a 4-Test series. Now see THIS:

Cobus Wiese vs Adre Smith, the Enforcers (4-Locks) (2025/26 URC data)

I took Cobus Wiese, what I thought is his strong points, build a "Cobus 360" on the https://t.co/mDpONxnqXZ for him and then I took Adre Smith data and test it against "Cobus 360".

These two are there to STOP or GAIN momentum on the gainline. So my focus on their skillsets were gainline and momentum orientated. These two must be willing to go to a very dark place on the gainline.

A lot of the points, they are very close. A lot is depending on how they get used at their franchise as well.

Johan Grobbelaar & Andre-Hugo Venter
(2025/6 URC season)

If you can merge these two, you will get close to the perfect nr 2.

Grobbelaar strong in the breakdown area (5th in the URC on ruck arrivals with 354x) and Venter a very strong carrier and his dominant tackle % is looking very good.
They are part of a very strong lineout and scrum unit at their respective franchises.

The Grobbies skillset is leaning more to the Marx skillset.

Update: a bug caused incorrect rates and percentiles for some %-based player and team stats to be displayed.

The hotfix has been live since Saturday, and every player/team has been tested to confirm it’s fully resolved.

Siya Kolisi is still undeniably world class. In his limited 512 URC minutes, he was one of the highest performing players in the URC.

He had our 6th highest open play score in the URC, among ALL positions! (500mins +)
