Today's a great day to buy one of my books:
๐ธTOADHEAD grave robbing, murder & madness
๐17 STORIES OF DEATH & DESIRE a selection of horror, from chills to gore via the truly weird
๐๏ธTHE WELL AT THE END OF THE WORLD post-apocalyptic stories of Paradise, Purgatory and Hell
I've got next week off, so I have to knuckle down and choose some films to watch so I don't get week long choice paralysis. Need suggestions!
I'm thinking:
Monster Club (watch that every Halloween)
Something Wicked This Way Comes
Halloween 3 & 4
1/?
Trick R Treat (not seen in a few years)
Godzilla Raids Again
Underwater
Masque of the Red Death (or another Corman/Price/Poe)
The Black Cat
Twins of Evil
Friday the 13th films are like:
1: Who's killing all these people?
2-4: Yeah, it's this dude now
5: Now who's killing all these people?
6-10: It's this dude again ๐
That silent plea make when checking someone's profile before deciding whether to follow back:
Don't be insane
Don't be insane
Don't be insane
Don't be insane
@HorrorPaperback Received wisdom is that the 90s was a slump period for horror. What I think that translates to is that very few franchises were born (Scream being the exception). The 90s was replete with weird and wonderful one off horror movies.
@Mudkipstoat23 Ah, bad luck. I've booked next week off so I'm ramping up. Crystal Lake has been the perfect excuse to finally check out my F13 parts 1 and 2 4K discs and part 2 is freaking lush.
Crystal Lake has sent me back to the movies.
Hellraiser: Revival has sent me back to the movies (and got me to preorder the comic omnibuses).
This has been a fantastic spooky season so far ๐
@DeadGeographies I do remember being a little chagrined that they leaned so heavily into Judeo-Christian myth. There's even an angel, I believe. I always thought the hell in Hellraiser was it's own thing, but even Barker's let me down on that score in The Scarlet Gospels ๐คทโโ๏ธ
