Ellos hacen ver que tienen el total apoyo de los shareholders, van diciendo que los usuarios del físico somos una minoría prescindible y que no importamos pero la realidad dicta todo lo contrario en los 3 casos.

It vanished from digital storefronts for 6 YEARS because of licensing. You literally couldn’t buy it anymore. It only came back because fans refused to let it die and Ubisoft finally rereleased it.

That’s what people don’t understand about an all digital future. Games don’t have to flop to disappear. A contract expires, a license changes, and poof…it’s gone.

Physical copies are the only thing that survives corporate decisions. That’s why this fight matters.

a short history of what actually moves them:

- Mass Effect 3 (2012): charity drive + FTC complaint → BioWare released a free Extended Cut in three months.
- PS3/Vita stores (2021): reversed after weeks of backlash. they publicly admitted they were wrong.
- Helldivers 2 (2024): Sony reversed course in one weekend after review bombing and mass refunds. no petition needed.

Days Gone 2 had ~240,000 signatures over four years plus public support from the game's own director. Sony's response was a remaster nobody asked for.

on july 1st they announced the end of physical discs for new games starting 2028 - and the same day quietly re-scheduled the PS3/Vita store closures they had already walked back once before.

the disc petition just passed 250,000. sony hasn't said a word.

so far those signatures haven't cost them a single cent.

Sony is shutting down inFAMOUS 2’s user-created missions on August 31

After that date, players will no longer be able to play, download, upload, or create community-made missions.
The game’s main story will still be playable.

The shutdown will also make the Platinum trophy impossible to earn for new players, because some trophies require completing UGC missions before the servers go offline.

“ Due to ongoing technical considerations, online support for the User Generated Content (UGC) features in inFAMOUS 2 on PlayStation 3 will end as of Aug 31st 2026.”

Brazil has some updates regarding PlayStation and Sony ending physical game media🚀

✅Following a consumer complaint, the consumer protection agency PROCON-SP has officially affirmed the rights of PlayStation gamers regarding physical and digital game ownership.

✅Consumers have the right to freely use, sell, lend, and share both digital and physical games with others.

✅Companies are prohibited from imposing new rules or usage restrictions after a game has been purchased or licensed.

✅Sony's current fine print, which allows the company to remove a player's digital collection without warning, is considered abusive and legally invalid.

✅PROCON-SP is not blocking Sony's announced platform migration, but explicitly mandates that the process must fully comply with the Consumer Defense Code and respect all acquired consumer rights.

✅Thus can be significant victory for the player community's organic movement and is currently awaiting a further response from Senacon.

De repente se están llenando las redes sociales de testimonios de “analistas y consultores”, todos diciendo extrañamente lo mismo sobre Sony pese a la situación tan peliaguda en la que se encuentran.

➡️ Se nota a leguas de distancia cual es la nueva estrategia de la empresa, quieren que olvidemos pronto y pase la tormenta rápido pero no se dan cuenta de que los gamers llevamos a nuestras espaldas miles de wipes y muertes.
