@favoritetee_ Well, it's based on Toronto. The Gilmore Girls pilot was filmed in Unionville, a suburb, for Stars Hollow and their parents mansion was a richer part of Toronto. WB just recreated Toronto on its lot for the series, though they considered filming on location.
