Did you read what I posted or just ignore the implications - FFS. I have displayed a mechanism by which the allegation could take place and how it could be influenced. Are we just dancing around with semantics. From your response I can only assume you are happy with the situation - are you? You wholeheartedly believe it was all just an unhappy coincidence? It just makes you look frightened to run against him tbh - like the Tories lack of spine in challenging local election cancellations by Labour. If it hadn’t been for Reform millions would have had no say and a VERY dangerous precedent would have been set. Tories sat in their hands - Reform went to court and forced the issue - the Tories - just hot air. As usual.

The issue isn’t that the original EV contract was corrupt. It’s that while Burnham was still Mayor, his wife went from having an indirect commercial link to the contractor, to taking a senior job there and later holding shares and a board seat — while that same public contract continued. He declared the earlier, weaker link. The later, stronger personal financial interest is what creates the real appearance problem. Most people would not accept the reverse situation from the other party.

Decisions on performance, tariffs, expansion, and any extensions or related work were still live under his mayoralty.

It moved from ‘my wife’s agency has them as a client’ (which he declared and recused from in 2021) to ‘my wife is now employed by them, sits on the board, and holds shares.’ That is a material change in the level of personal financial interest while the public money was still flowing.

🚨UPDATE: Vodafone have confirmed they will continue to hand out free sim cards to ‘charities’ helping military aged men to break into Britain.

Let’s see if they’re as bold when Reform makes aiding and abetting illegal entry a strict liability criminal offence.

In any case, given their position, as per my letter they can expect a Reform government to:

1) immediately review all their public contracts.

2) given Vodafone is assisting the invasion of Britain, they will be excluded from all defence, national security and emergency services procurement.

The days of gilded elites enriching themselves at the expense of hard working British people will soon be over.
