@DanBranns@UnhitchingHour Yes! and: You can trace this back to the AFM strike of the 1942-44, during which the record companies pivoted - permanently - from selling 'expensive' bands to 'cheap' vocalists. Even during the rock era, they would always pressure the lead singers to go solo.

@NaraMovak Any winner-take-all voting system eventually devolves into two parties and rampant gerrymandering, which is why most modern democracies use parliamentary or ranked-choice voting. It made an immediate difference in the last mayoral election here in NYC.
@librarythingtim I asked the MS chatbot to multiply two 6-digit numbers. Its answer was plausible-looking but wrong. I asked it to factor a number which was the product of two 6-digit primes. Its answer was very obviously wrong.
