We intend for Halo 5: Reforged to not just be to add Halo 5 Xbox content. H5 Forge is free to download, which makes it perfect for people who just want to play Arena or Custom maps.

For those who cannot acquire a campaign dump, Halo 5: Reforged will still allow for MP gameplay.

Split Screen has arrived for #Halo5Reforged.

I personally wished H5 had this back in the day and I know the whole community to this day wants it.

One of the things most requested.
I know why retail never had it, Xbox One just couldnt handle it. XO just didn’t have the resources to run H5 let alone split screen it.

This was such a pain to get working, but I know the community will appreciate the efforts.

This took me weeks of research and a lot of trial and error, I gave up a few times and eventually had a small breakthrough which led to a bigger one and here we are!

I have made a couple of adjustments and made sure the system properly detects the active input device (keyboard vs controller).

We now have control over almost all UI elements :)

Now I wonder if we could use animated PNGs in the MOTD or as backgrounds on the main menu to recreate what we had in Reach…🧑‍🍳
